It has been a hot minute since I drew the last few artworks featuring Nellie Fitzgerald, the one and the only bacterial girl, no? That's what has been going on in my mind in the past few days, along with the thought of some characters that I don't give too much love or attention such as the likes of Sluggia Lilith, Larry Hopkins, or even almost unknown and unfleshed characters yet like Vivianne, Oppy and Flutter or the Tribe Lizard Girls. It seems almost like I've put too many characters past year, and that's probably what has caused the abrupt, brutal halt in my artwork production post-July 2024 -- sort of like a "silent burnout". Either way, I'm happy to settle this weird era apart, trim out the bad stuff and live this much better year with much better designs and much better opportunities.
With that said, I've decided to draw Nellie Fitzgerald again and give her a better design as well as a far more fleshed-out character compared than her original premise: the "quirky and seemingly one-dimensional bacteria woman". She's now a proud member of the Biological Research Institute of Milwaukee -- "BRIM" for short --, which are the people responsible for giving her a physical, cutting-edge and human-like body you see in this picture! Some say it cost around US$ 200.000 to build it. Luckily, the institute is very skilled at bioengineering.
Speaking about the seemingly-forgotten characters, they will be appearing soon too! I've got a really big sketch of Sluggia Lilith on the files here that will probably will take a bit more due to the level of detail I've decided to put on the original traditional sketch-of-the-sketch I made around Mid-June or so. I hope Vivianne will be getting some proper colored art while Oppy and Flutter both get some silly works and short animations. Expect some extra characters to be created during the current semester of the big '25...
