Here is last years fawn rescue, Snowy. She is also the only doe fawn that survived in 2024 during the horrible heatwave. She was one of the rare rescue fawn from Storm because I found her right after she was born. As wonderful of a deer Stormy is, she can’t mother fawns do to a milk condition, but she did manage to raise Star on her own but it was a very bumpy ride for the little girl because of the milk issue. The little fawn was picked on by the herd but she did grow up to be a very good mother herself throwing some wonder fawns of her own with the latest one being a named Rocky which I think is also a Doe. Rocky got the name because of its color which I thought was a rock at first till it jumped up. As an adult fawn, the coat will whiten up like Snowy’s.
When Snow was a couple months old she hurt one of her hind legs but she never got rid of the limp from it. She is very spoiled getting bowls of carrots, strawberries, grapes, and then taking a nap on her little pet bed that she stoked from Tes. The bowl of treats usually gets put on the back porch so her Girlfriend Ivy who is a Whitetail Doe of the same age can get some tool, but the brothers have been sneaking on the porch to raid them. Snow usually hangs out with the Whitetails more and I hope they don’t groom her to start smacking.
