Description:
Butters hailed from a canyon town of Dried Moss in southern Arizona, but was widely rumored there to be stronger than a thousand fighter vixens combined, though (out of humility) he would often deny or downplay that claim. Even though he was legitimately an experienced fighter, he only received such a reputation due to his hometown populated with ten times more women than men, and with foxes having taken three-fourths of that population. Given the hostile environment around the canyon, especially with few rivalling towns, many young townswomen would volunteer to undertake harsh training just to become good fighters, though one day a couple of townsmen like Butters would be required to join that training, so as to counter the potential bout of abuse from female fighters against males (and even other females who opposed them).

However, there was a nearby and neutral town nearby that fed on cacti as snacks, and one of his childhood friends, Miguel Picoblancos, came from there and made weekly visits to him with fried cactus barks. In January 2022, Miguel would personally inform Butters about the MALAKAS Project, as well as its benefits, and gave him a large crate of cactus snacks that were expected to be eaten in a year or less. Although skeptical about the project, Butters decided to give it a shot, should the time come.

And then the time came in July next year, when Miguel returned from Mt. Tingganda (the main site of the MALAKAS Project) as his large and muscular self, which shocked everyone in the southern canyons, including Butters. Despite having no beef with rivalling canyon towns, Miguel was forced to fight off against their best fighters coming after him, and they were left all but knocked out. While Miguel was welcomed to stay in Butters' hometown, the female fighters were left envious and displeased, and so plotted to beat the white wolf down at his vulnerable point and kick him out. Butters came to hear such a plot and protested that Dried Moss' beef with its rivals were far from over, with even a possibility of receiving an invasion by almost all fighters, but the leader of the fighter vixens threatened to kick Butters and his fellow fighter boys out of town, should one of them decide to get in the way.

As prideful and stubborn as they ever could be, the female fighters of Butters' did have a genuine contribution of beating down all intruders from opposing towns, without even a loss, while the male counterparts either barely had to do the job or struggled to do so, mostly due to the female fighters' better alertness and speed. However, the said rivalling towns had also been recruiting more fighters than enough to send against Dried Moss, they were just biding their time, knowing full well about the fighter girls' increasing state of arrogance. The said towns were also cautious not to underestimate the male fighters, owing to Butters' as Dried Moss' second best fighter.

The mayor of Dried Moss, also a female figher, just happened to be the only one completely aware of her rivalling towns' secret plot, but after having heard from Miguel bragging about the MALAKAS Project, she successfully persuaded Butters to partake in it. Besides Butters, she could've asked anyone in her town, but her fellow females were too confident to partake the project, while their male counterparts were too afraid to do so, wanting to avoid unannounced retaliation or humiliation for defying the female fighters.

Butters' experience within the MALAKAS Project was rather as casual as so simple his beginning, but he had shed light on social issue within the mountain base. He would often learn about mistreatment towards other Recruits by one gender over another, and vice versa. Ever since late 2020, such a social issue had been around, but in 2022 it became so prevalent that even a single incident by mistreatment would lead into a couple of wasteful fights. The project staff, including the supervisor and the higher-ups, were actually attempting to curb that social issue through specific policies and rules, but almost Recruits wouldn't care. It remained that way until Butters began sharing his story about the way his female fighters treated me and his fellow men. His efforts to raise awareness against gender mistreatment so far wouldn't make a big change overnight, but on the long run instead inspired level-minded Recruits to take upon themselves to keep their friends, others and even themselves in check.

By the time Butters arrived home from Mt. Tingganda, he was horrified to see Dried Moss overcome by the vast army of fighters from its opposing towns. The female fighters had managed to trap Miguel in a ravine but ended up overwhelmed and defeated during the invasion. This prompted Butters to gather many of his fellow male fighters and a handful of trustworthy females (including the mayor of Dried Moss) to rescue Miguel from the said ravine, so that they could altogether drive away their invading opponents. While their allies could take on dozens of enemies as strong as they could, it was Butters and Miguel who did most of the heavy hitting work against the rest of the invading force. Two hours later, the rivalling canyon towns had gotten the message and called off the invasion, prompting the whole town of Dried Moss to celebrate in victory, praising Butters and Miguel as their saviors. However, the only ones not enjoying that were several female fighters who had been beaten down for a long time, most especially Sierra Scorch, the leader of the fighter vixens and Dried Moss' first best fighter.
