A closeup of the 'Master of Lung Ying' dragon I'm working on for my Eurofurence collab with
Alectorfencer. She did the background for the piece, I'm doin' the characters, one of which is my own personal take on a Chinese river dragon. I haven't had this much freedom with a piece in ages, so I've been having a lot of fun.
I think I'm done with the piece for tonight, though. . . head is throbbing. More to come later.
A lot of the brushes used in this piece came from
Alectorfencer. I started using her brushes ages ago when we first started collabing on Red Lantern, in order to merge our styles together a bit better. I would highly suggest a brush exchange to other artists looking to expand their repertoire. The brushes I received from her have made doing foliage and just verdant greenery in general so much less time-consuming than it used to be. Having a large collection of brushes at your disposal is NEVER a bad thing.

How do you use new brushes? I've heard people talk about custom ones but I'm not sure how. I'm on Photoshop Elements now since my OS upgrade ironically ruined the real PS for me. Hopefully that does it too.
Oh yeah. . .amazing pic. Can't wait to see the whole thing. That hair on him is blowing my mind.
