Oh jeez this reminds me of when I was a kid and the automatic one they had malfunctioned on me! It squeezed so hard it left a bruise on my arm.

Funnily enough while I used to be like that as a kid with paper cuts and scrapes that barely broke skin, I always found blood pressure machines kinda comfortable. Maybe it's an Autism sensory thing.

I do wonder if sensory likes/dislikes plays a roll in this. I also have always found BP cuffs somewhat comforting.
Maybe it's how some people find weighted blankets comforting with anxiety while others don't.

I remember when I was a kid I sometimes would wear like, ten sweaters layered over top of each other to pretend I was an astronaut, and I'd cover myself in pillows and sofa cushions and ask my parents to sit on me while doing so. And now I'm a furry who has a very form-fitting Cinderace suit and I often like wearing layered tights and spandex zentai. Heck, my blanket is literally a sleeping bag (though when it's too warm I use it more like a blanket.) By contrast, I HAAATE shorts, short-sleeve shirts and loose-fitting boxers. So yeah, definitely a sensory thing. There's just something about being tightly enveloped by fabric that makes me feel more...whole, for lake of a better term. Like a second skin almost.

I can't remember the condition but, pretty much anything harder then a feather touch would cause his skin to bruise

I was told it was a cancer but, wasn't informed of anything more then that (Was just an ER gofer) so HIPPA wouldn't lemme find out more. Just remembered he complained about EVERYTHING

Weird. Usually the cancer patients have a much larger tolerance for discomfort.

Dunno...could be a number of things.

I can't remember how long exactly he was there. Just remember getting called in for a "Sweep" His room-mate was feeling particularly chatty that day, He was telling me about that guys last conversation before he passed out. Dude was arguing with his hands, saying he needed to steal the ocean back to the earth's core, stop them from wasting the inner earth's blood and water, and finish his fight with milk
So...yeah, I'm leaning towards the possible brain metastasis.

Course, you're in the medical field so ya know. Human bodies refuse to conform to exact standards for issues. There's always that one that's gotta be one thing but, all the symptoms are something else. Hello, what brings you in today?
