I'm not sure when or if we'll ever see this person. If we do, I'm nearly certain he's one of Mina's colleagues from "back home". A fellow Synchrony Protection Force agent who's sort of an "overbearing older brother" type. He's always in her business but it's because he worries about her. She resents him going over her head, but that doesn't stop them from helping each other with their casework and occasionally going out for drinks together.

He may have even advised her on another big cat, having some insider knowledge on the way they think.

The fact that the way he looks the way he does—and has those implants—suggests that he might be retired from active field work. We'll learn more about that in due course.

(I have four big cats now, two from the same artist. I guess I just like them. They seem larger than life. And when they're not larger than life, that's even more interesting. Big meanies and big softies, and sometimes both at once.
