This is epic. I used to read The Beano. My favourites were Calamity James and the Bash Street Kids. Still got a few of the yearly specials.

I too was particularly fond of Calamity James, hence why the gold bar and giant wad of money laying on the ground, as James walking right past life changing objects of good fortune without noticing them was a constant visual gag in that strip.
