Yup. This is going into Faves. Simple decision.
For 7K words it's tight, it's complete, and dramatic.
Cub characters? Wrong word: *youth* characters, and
no question there's no problem with 'em. Story would
be less with teen or adult chars.
The world is a pretty straightforward fantasy setting,
we all recognize it. Could be called 'generic?'
But it could also be called neatly and economically
assembled; reader buy-in is easy and instant.
Good one, and enjoyed it.
