After a shootout that happened at a pharmacy, the sisters started to take things seriously. What appeared to be an incoherent string of robberies were starting to appear more like a spree committed by a gang. For what reason wasn’t made clear, but one of them found a lead, and were following the trail it left.
Copeland and Circuit Grit followed Tiger Eyes through the alleys as Angel flew overhead.
“So we sure these people were all gathering painkillers and some ADD pills, and the bringing them together.” Tiger eyes said as she walked, “Are we thinking of a drug-dealer ring?”
“Nah, the stuff they steal isn’t worth much.” Copeland said, “At least not compared to more skilled crooks. It’s not even stuff used to MAKE expensive drugs.”
“Could be used to make something else.” Circuit said, though a computerized voice. “Either way, we are to subdue them, then find out later.”
“Copeland rolled her eyes at the mention, “So, kitty, how much farther.”
Coming out of an alley, Tiger Eyes stopped at the sidewalk and pointed to a building, “There, second floor.” She looked to the building’s first floor and her ears went back, “A mom-and-pop shop? Looks like some antique store.”
“Doesn’t seem like it now.” Copleand said, walking across the street and sniffing the air, “Let’s take the fire escapes and come through the windows,” She walked around the side of the buildings, wolf tail swaying, “They’d probably expect trouble to step through the door if any at all.”
Circuit nodded and followed her friend, with Tiger Eyes behind her. She even raised a hand and gestured hand signals to their heroine in the sky.
Copeland climbed up first, and took out a pair of chisels. She wedged them into the window sill and forced it open. After climbing in, she helped the tigress, and both had to pull in Circuit Grit. This hybrid was small, lean and muscular, but was strangely heavy for her appearance. Quiet as they could be, there was a hard thump as Circuit got a knee and paw. Out of precaution, they took to the walls and hid in the dark for a moment. Ears up, they all heard a few footsteps, they got close for a moment, then they started to walk away.
“Tiger, where is our drug thief?”
Tiger Eyes pointed over her shoulder, to the wall opposite of where those footsteps went.
“He might be with the others then.”
Circuit Grit nodded and pulled out her cellphone, a message already on the screen. “They must be, I’m detecting at least 4 cell phones over there.”
“Good, message Angel to come in from the window on that side.” Copeland smirked and drew her gun, “Let’s catch these bums with their pants down.”
She went to open the door and stepped into the hall, immediately there was this towering moose standing at the end of the hallway, instantly they had locked eyes.
“HEY!”
