C is for cookie, and cookie starts with C...
...C'mon, you were singing it too, don't deny it :p
Recipe from the lovely
!
******************************
2 1/4 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 cup of butter or two sticks*
3/4 cups of white and brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups of chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375°F
Mix your flour, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, cream your butter, sugars, and vanilla, and add 1 egg at a time. After they're mixed in, add your flour mixture slowly until it's well incorporated.
I recommend lining your favorite baking sheet with parchment paper, but non-stick cooking spray will work. Take a small ice cream scoop and start placing your cookies on your baking sheet.
Now, you're supposed to bake these in the oven for 9 to 11 minutes, but I went to 15 to 17 minutes, depending on the oven you're using.
* From Chris: Pepper is absolutely right stating that parchment paper will make things so much easier in removing the cookies from the pan (once cooled that is) and that a cookie rack is your friend, don't bake without them.
In regards to the butter - and this is VERY optional mind you - you could let this cook in your saucepan on medium high until browned, and THEN add it to your mix and this will give you a much deeper flavor.
