Penance! How perfect.

Had to follow the first rule listed in the recent journal. This was drawn back in February, while I was finishing "Dead Bitch".

I Penance.

You know, Aqualung itself might have been good here too. But then, I love Jethro Tull in general. Mmmm, Locomotive Breath.

True, but it wouldn't have included Penance's viewpoint. It would have focused on the bad guy ("Aqualung") instead.

Hmmm...two predators in the playground...should get interesting!

Especially considering that one predator is protecting while the other is invading!

So does Penance have any protective or friendly feelings for the other kids all around her? Or does she just view them as a sort of 'useful camoflauge', for her to hide in while she looks for her own prey?

It depends on the situation, I guess. If she knows there's a sexual predator in the area, she will try to draw the attention to herself, keeping the other kids safe as a result. But she does sometimes use them to "blend in".

Predator my foot.. Penance is a Super-Predator. She nearly turned Molly inside out (she did mentally, but physically, yeah.), she'll turn that croc into boots and purses like nothing at all.

If I understand what you've said up until now, this wouldn't be the typical prey for Penance.

I guess Penance really does see herself as the unseen avenger of children being preyed on by adults. Though to see how some monsters like this guy sees children, one could actually appreciate what Penance does.

To bad we don't have a Penance in real life.

I wonder if on a meter of one to ten, what would he be on her "she's going to mess him up a meter"?

So how would one define Penance? She is nowhere like Logan, that's for sure. So anti-hero is out. Dark guardian maybe, but thinking about a demoness with a body that won't stop and a 16-inch long tougne that can do you like a sausage wrap... Yikes! It gives this old wolf the chills...

Maybe it isn't fair to compare Penance with Logan.

She is from another dimension after all and that probably changes her view on the people in that world greatly. But I would gather she might fit into the anti-hero description.

She's not really a good guy. But she's not really a bad guy either. I suppose she may change her stance according to the situation.

No, this isn't typical prey for her. The bad guy here just wants to nab a kid and hold 'em for ransom. It's probably why he didn't make too big a spot on her radar.

Something like this little story would take place long after her introduction in the Caterwaul series. Over time, she begins to grow more of an attachment to those in her surroundings, and takes it upon herself to keep the worst of it away from the innocents. This is likely due to the fact that she has the memories of the body she inhabits, and has come to understand the horror and trauma some kids go through at the hands of...problematic individuals.

Looks like someone is going to be getting some alligator shoes...

No official name. I just names it "Music Story" since it's really just an exercise of sorts.

Oh ok. I assumed it was called Dear Prudence lol. I really like this "exercise".

Thanks! I tend to have a rather broad range in musical tastes (but I absolutely HATE country music and modern pop).

I can share your dislike of country music... Most modern pop in the states that I hear (especially stuff at the typical dance club scenes) isn't really appealing to me, either. However, I AM fairly fond of a number of J-Rock groups overseas, as well as some J-Pop from time to time. It started off as them copying our music a decade or two behind us, and turned into something good all its own, mostly.

Something tells me, that by the way that bear shaped demon is looking at him...him not having respiratory problems is gonna change really soon. And that's if he's lucky.
