Long story short, an ex of mine had five dogs in all and Aura here did not get along with one of them. Sadly she had to let Aura go to prevent any more fights, but I gained a dog I sorta-kinda-not-really-did-want (re: I wanted a dog, but I was just fine without one).

Regardless, she's a sweet heart and keeps me company throughout the day. She's a husky malamute mix that is 1.5 years old and, aside from going ape shit every time I put on my shoes and grab her collar to take her outside, has a great temperament.

She's a bit of a handful with her separation anxiety, but she's worth it. :]
