I made this shaker thing based on a thing one of primary school music teachers had in his classroom. He had this big staff made from a 2 inch wide branch that had nails driven into the side of the stick with bottle caps on the nails. Like the caps were impaled by the nails and when you would thump the staff it would be like a tambourine. I found what I think is a leg from a piece of furniture and found some screws from an old amp that once worked on. (I think it was like a fender frontman 10g that I sold maybe a few months ago?) And then I STOLE some bottle caps from my work and did the same thing. And now it works decently. I haven't thought of experimenting with more bottle caps or a larger stick but I might make another in the future.
