Um, I think they are brain eating non-sentient zombies? I'm not sure as I'm not a big Zombie fan myself. I'll ask the guy who wrote the story. :)

I always seem to be pretty tuned to those type of survival horror. though i've got mixed thoughts on the recent rage infected zombie .
