It took hours to reach the summit—feet sore, hoodie flecked with dust, and legs burning with every incline. But standing there, silhouetted against the painted Colorado sky, Rex the foxcat knew the climb had paid off.
Behind him, the Rockies stretched like ancient guardians, bathed in hues of pink, gold, and royal blue. His red nose twitched at the crisp air, and his red eyes gleamed with a mix of exhaustion and wonder. Wind whispered through the pines below, and clouds waltzed overhead, throwing color across the wild landscape like a watercolor in motion.
"You made it," he muttered to himself, hoodie rippling gently in the breeze. He wasn’t talking to the trail. He was talking to the version of him that once didn’t believe this kind of peace was possible.
A camera wouldn’t capture it. A caption wouldn’t hold it. But this moment—this personal victory, this high-altitude solitude—was his. Rocky Mountain high indeed. And worth every step.
