Goldstone Peacemaker Vs .32 Pistol
"If you can afford more then pipe but still only can afford a cheap and reliable hand cannon to keep you alive, look no further then here. able to be chambered from .38 all the way to .47-70 GOV, this is a universal firearm, can be repaired with .32 pistol, .44 magnum, single action revolvers." - Gerik Goldstone
As advertised, the Goldstone peacemaker is an all-around workhorse for a revolver. First coming into the scene in 2084, after the first gun shop of Goldstone was established in Charlestown, being wiped off the face of the post-apocalyptic map by the Charleston flood in 2082, Appalachia. Being the Second machine-milled revolver in Gerik's arsenal, this model focuses on adaptability and simplicity. chambered in 9mm to .45-70 Government rounds. Most common chambering is .38 for cost and ammo abundance found in the post-war ruins of the cities, costing a week's pay for the average wastelander farmer; it is an investment, to say the least, for personal protection. By 2090, the .38 Peacemaker would be a standard and common find in the Charlestown area and surrounding area, preferably the woods, given the abundant game, resources, and fertile farming soil needing protection.
Establishing a new shop inside Gorge Junkyard, West of Morgantown. Settling down and trading supplies for guns and services, for travelers having the funds, caps, and process, most funds would be placed into Restoring Gerik's Truck from the flooding.
Being a staple revolver of customization, while being affordable to the common wastelander, the peacemaker became a favorite in the wastes, first for settlers, then scavengers, and eventually raiders got their hands on them, be it against the maker's wishes. However, the most common rival to the Peacemaker is the .32 revolver. Made illegally during the restraints placed on the civilian population during the resource riots, followed by crackdowns of the pre-war U.S government on the civilian gun market/ownership. Being a simple, easy to produce, easy to maintain design as well, being highly concealable on a person's body, made it a highly sought-after firearm for the public for defense, whether it is illegally obtained.
Being made by any person with a machine shop or work bench and the know-how to make a gun, accompanied by supplies, the .32 pistol became a very common firearm to see in the wasteland besides pipe weapons. However, wastelanders toss the pistol to the side or trade it in to get a peacemaker in its place. By 2180, the peacemaker had run its course as a whole, becoming less and less commonly found compared to other sidearms that had been produced. However, any models found in the NCR territory would be converted to the much more common 9mm round, given the higher production of the NCR's 9mm pistol, followed by an overproduction of 9mm bullets to supply it. However, at the same time in that year, the numbers made for Diamond city chambered in .308 rifle rounds for big threat targets, along with the Minutemen, the Peacemaker was critical in the defense of Diamond city. After the battle, the few remaining Revolvers would be scattered over time across the commonwealth.
Other than found on dead wastelanders, the graves of wasetlanders, even found on traders as well as on the occasional raider, be it,they are in bad condition. The peacekeeper has made itself known as a dependable, versatile, and above all, reliable firearm that is not too bad on the cap book.
