Fox King Reacts to The Cat in the Hat Official Trailer
posted 4 months ago Photographer
Hi everyone, today I'm reacting to a Dr. Seuss movie. I'm hoping this one is better than the Mike Myers movie, which I did enjoy when I was younger. But after discovering how embarrassed I was for liking it, I felt a bit like I should have thought it through before enjoying it, and that put an end to the live-action Dr. Seuss movies. Now, with that being said, did Warner Bros. do a perfect job on an adaptation, or did they just make it as bad as the movie from 2003? Let's find out as we begin the reaction right now, roll it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jz8pLlPhSeY
0:00-0:22 Now we're starting the trailer off with a calm and impressive-looking location, almost like we're in for an adventure of a lifetime. I wonder what they're going to make it like Neverland or Wonderland in this movie?
0:22-0:44 Okay, so we're starting the trailer off with the title character himself discovering a box, despite that there are lots of signs on it saying "Do Not Open", he goes ahead and opens it anyway.
0:44-1:10 Okay, so we see that the Cat in the Hat's job is to be with every single animal with the stuff that rhymes with what the animals are called. I wonder if there's a chance that Fox in Socks might make a cameo in this movie? Now I'm not asking for that to happen, I'm just saying that's all.
1:10-1:24 Yeah, I'd be spraying the Cat in the Hat with pepper spray myself if I saw him making a creepy face like that, I mean, sheesh. Did they get that inspiration from Hammy from DreamWorks "Over the Hedge" for that face he was making there? I would have done a much better face design for the Cat's smile than that, I mean, he looks like he was trying to pull off the Cheshire Cat face.
1:24-1:36 Okay, so we've got everyone saying just "Cat" as we see some moments like they're not just going to make it similar to Dr. Seuss, but also stories that were written by Chris Van Allsburg since he did books on Jumanji, Polar Express, and Zathura? But there is also the Cat in the Hat's boss saying that he's gone too far, and we see the sofa becoming a machine that would take them somewhere.
1:36-1:43 Now here's where we see the Cat thinking his boss said "Toot Fart" when clearly he said "Too Far", it felt similar to when people saw the animated classic version of Aladdin when they thought he said "Good teenagers, take off your clothes" when he said "Good kitty, take off and go."
1:43-2:03 Now, when he left the box where his things are, but when Conrad, or at least that's what I think the boy's name is, because we know the girl's name is Sally. But anyway, when he peeked into the box, two things came out of it. However, I don't get it with this one. Isn't it supposed to be "Thing 1 & Thing 2"? Why would they call the second thing "Thing 3"? I mean, in the book, there were Thing 1 and Thing 2; there was no Thing 3 in the book. I just don't understand why they changed the second thing's name to Thing 3.
2:03-2:13 Wait, so in this upcoming movie for next year, there's not going to be two things, but a lot of things? Now I'm guessing they're going to be the replacements for Little Cat A to Z in the sequel, but what I do remember is that in my school play of Seussicals in the orchestra, they were dressed as the other things in the musical itself.
Now I've got mixed feelings about this one, one part of me is saying that it's going to be an interesting take on a Dr. Seuss movie, while the other part of me is feeling self-doubt about this movie doing well, and it's going down rock bottom with the Mike Myers movie. Now, the idea of Bill Hader as the Cat in the Hat was not what I thought about when it comes to casting the title character. I thought that Tom Holland was going to voice the Cat in the Hat in it. But my thought is that Illumination did a better job with their take on the Cat in the Hat movie? Well, I'm thinking not really, but in the meantime, I've got to find another trailer to react to. But what could it be? (Hearing SpongeBob's laughter in the background.) Wait, there's another SpongeBob movie coming out this year?
