I technically envision him as a mix of a cobra and a constrictor, thus the tags and the very long tail, (though it would be longer if he weren't a hybrid and were just a constrictor!)
Also the little wiggly red lines on his back and arms are 'mini-jets, so those and the big obvious jets can fire off energy to make him NYOOM (Or hit super hard, as he can fire off ones on individual parts of himself!)
