Here is Qylbi the Sergal!

Completed a month ago, but have been fighting my perfectionism . Decided today is officially the day I show them off and get them ready to head to their forever home! ( I lied, I ended up making 2 more edits since posting his reel on instagram and reinforcing a few seams-- worth it.)
----(Qylbi is [NOT] approximately 54 inches tall)---- I took final measurements and this is completely wrong, or I typo'd it...? Qylbi's final measurements are 67 inches in his laying position, from the tip of the nose to the tips of the toes, 62 inches standing completely STRAIGHT up without the legs bending or the torso scrunching. They were patterned to be laying with armature, and their "resting" position is supposed to be a T-pose with their nose pointed up. :)
Entirely made of minky fabric. Details are machine embroidered and appliqued ( face, hands and feet) the rest is colorblocked. They have copper wire armature, and some foam supports in the torso, thighs, base of the tail and calves to keep them from being too floppy. They cannot stand upright by themselves without support. Their hair accessories are removable via hook and loop strips.
The amount of times I started to literally sweat when maneuvering this big plush to sew something on! Even adding the armature was a workout. 🤣 This was my first plush that I worked from pieces-- sewing and stuffing limbs, testing the fit and either attaching or adjusting til it was right,-- at least at this scale. Oddly, the head is what took the longest!
Very interesting project to work on, and I'd love to make another large lizard sized plush like this again in the future. 😊
On a side note, This gorgeous fella helped me navigate some grief and loss, and I'm grateful they came along at the time that they did. <3
