Of the main trio, only Jen was born as a Pokemon. It was raised ok at first, but once it became apparent that it was an off-type (Ghost/Electric instead of Fire or Fire/Ghost), its parents focused on its more normal siblings. Even leaving that off, they weren't too great as parents.
