Not when im opening for commissions, no. And in general Im not reeeaally the consultation type. best i can tell you is experiment, experiment, experiment. Thats how I arrived at how I go about things and I always tell people they should do their research and messing around rather than just asking for advice because they will learn soooo much more hands-on than they will by anyone telling them how to go about things... it also frees them from the constraints of how someone else does them and leaves open the opportunity to potential. figure out a BETTER way of going about construction methods.

Other than that, the serious answer is "don't stress out about it".
Basically, even if it turns out "terrible", the point is you got it done. Don't worry hugely about super-correcting mistakes, instead just ... try ideas, slap stuff together and "play".

You'll go miles once you learn how to "play" with building, but if you don't feel you're getting there... start posting once a (month/week) progress as you get your parts rolling, and maybe friends can give you some more encouragement and pointers and help you stay motivated :3

The finding the right type of boots to fit has been the challenge (mens size 10). Second I find some I am sooooo going to ask you for a commission.
