Not so fun fact: animals like cats, dogs, cows and pigs can also get breast cancer! In fact, anyone with breast tissue can get it, which means anyone from cis women, trans women, cis men, trans men, non-binary and intersex people CAN get it.
Breast cancer is one type of cancer that gets more visibility than others, but that visibility doesn't necessarily become resources and research, and it doesn't guarantee safety either. Last year I lost an aunt to BC, and my mom lost her best friend. I'm here to say that I may not understand your pain, but it doesn't mean you have to suffer alone.
If you have it, I also have to say that all feelings about your own diagnosis are valid. It's okay to be scared, sad, depressed, angry, to think about your looks and your womanhood (if you're a woman). We're all human beings, you shouldn't feel guilty for feeling the entire spectrum of emotions on a difficult time.

A cisgender man in my family had breast cancer though he is not related by blood to me. However my grandma's sister had it but refused treatment and passed away. My grandma had it too but had a masectomy. (And the cancer never returned.)
I had a double masectomy ("top surgery") because I'm trans masculine but I still need to get checked regularly because of my family history. I'm at risk for ovarian cancer too so I regularly get checked for that.
Like you said, breast cancer isn't unique to a single body type. Awareness and education for all!
