My attempt at last week's Thursday Prompt. Last week, the word for the prompt was 'mystery'.

Really struggled with this one, both in motivation and trying to decide what to do. Eventually, I finally start this and I'm just not sure I really managed the prompt quite right. I think there's the argument that there is a mystery here, though I'm definitely stretching things. Oh well, it's late and I just wanted it done.

Having had time to finally go through and read several of these, I have to say that some seem a little forced (like doing an assignment for school) and others come very naturally... this series is definitely one of the latter. The whole plot that you're developing and the characters are deeper than many other things you write.
You really ought to think about going all-in on this one. I know you've got another one going (I need to look at that one still), but I get the distinct feeling this one is more fun to revisit than some.

Admittedly, some do feel more like a homework assignment than a part of a hobby, though I think that may be in part due to just being a bit tired (work has been extra busy lately).
For the most part, I really do get into these when I manage to find the motivation to get started. Having a prompt word that fits what I had planned next also really helps!
