One of the benefits of Tarkus' lair are the natural thermal springs present in the mountains where it's located. An entire hall has been dedicated to channeling the hot water in basins and streams or using it to heat stone platforms, effectively creating comfortable spots for resting.
While somewhat gloomy, the place certainly invites for prolonged stays to soak once scales and be soothed by the steady trickle of steaming hot water.
Certanly an accomodation that is regularly used by its owner (and probably hundreds of Kobolds he employs. No yipping allowed, while the lord of the lair is present)

Really happy how this piece turned out and their work on my characters mug. Love their interpretation.
I especially love the how they incorporated the wings, having the wingarms rest on the edge of the basin. Such a fun detail.

Definitely a big guy knows how to treat himself and live in luxury
Any self-respecting dragon need to pay attention not only to the piles of gold but for the access to other goods - fresh water, hunting grounds and nice source of cleaning thyself
What kind of civilized and mighty being wants to be dirty after a hard day or work in raiding the kingdoms around?
To impress the foe and leave awe inside the heart of men you need to look glorious all the time
