Just some characters for a DnD campaign I don't have time to run anywhere but in my brain when I'm exercising or dissociating from the horrors of reality.

Just a DnD-esque campaign idea I had. A group of individuals are called by the gods, transported from across the lands to a massive cavern. They must figure out why they were called, how to get out of the cavern, and why suddenly, assorted creatures and entities are trying to kill them, manipulate them, and/or influence them. There were a bunch of other characters I wanted to paint but the time-management part of my brain stepped in and said no. Alas.
Zira is a proud, powerful warrior who is most beloved of her god, Rhothyr (my homebrew god of centaurs). Zira is being groomed as his earthly emissary. Imerzekkai is a scrawny, feeble runt of a centaur who is despised and rejected by Rhothyr. Zira is disgusted by Imer at first but eventually, as they get to know each other, her bigotries begin to melt away and she comes to learn that he is strong in his own way and worthy of respect. At one point in the story, Imer falls in love with a vampire named Sazze. Sazze turns him, hoping it will alleviate Imer's crippling physical maladies and disabilities. It does and after a long while of watching Imer limp and cringe his way through life, we get to see him frolicking around.
Rhothyr is so disgusted and outraged that one of his people would stoop to this and in a rage, he curses Imer, removing all the benefits of vampirism but leaving him with the weaknesses. So now, Imer is even worse off than before. Imer asks Zasse to let him go (suicide) and Zasse says he'll go with him. They're both old. They've seen enough and they can go out together, hand in hand. Zira is so outraged and infuriated by Rhothyr's actions that she rejects him loudly and publicly (in front of her people who previously nigh-worshiped her and envied her for her being the beloved of Rhothyr). Zira demands to fight Rhothyr in single combat. If he loses, he must not only lift the curse from Imer but grant him a generous boon that heals him of all malady. She loses, badly. Rhothyr gloats over her. He offers to "fix" Imer if she will be his concubine (which was what he really wanted all along and was only grooming her to be his emissary for that reason). She points out that he only beat her because he is a god and it was not a fair fight, thus goading him into setting his godly powers aside for a rematch. He is certain he can beat her even without his powers. She beat his ass so badly and so thoroughly that he doesn't get back up. Instead of taking the mantle of godhood for herself. She offers it to Imer. Imer splits it between them.
There's a LOT more to it but we'd be here all day. XD

Woooooah! I saw this posted in a group chat and recognized your style right away before I saw the initials in the corner. I have a special attraction for centaur-type creatures and I can't stop admiring how beautifully you've blended the contrast of light and dark with the colors.
