
Palinurus elephas, the European Spiny Lobster. Another Mediterranean arthropod delicacy, these were fished intensely with various kinds of lobster pots all over the Turkish coast. These specimens were, again, found in the keeping of a restaurant, doomed to the cook-pot. But such is the ways of business, and you can hardly blame the locals. Many of them have fishing as their sole livelihood.
That said, quite a beautiful lobster if you ask me. Not as massive and intimidating as an actual lobster, but certainly prettier when it comes to exoskeleton patterning.
