It's a very sweet story. Leonhart is best king of beasts. Anubis is most aggro counselor. Amit is best princess pal. Lanteveldt is best cool hyena guard. And Saraphi is best sacrifice! *noms Sarafi* ;D

OMG I have to watch it!

It's a really great modern fairy tale. It's only very very loosely similar to "Beauty and the Beast", but it's really a very different story. There's quite a bit of world-building and characterization all through out. The chapters dealing with Fenrir and the battle between him and Leonhart are probably the peak conflict, as it's a very personal battle.

I would also recommend reading the manga, as it's more fleshed out. For the anime, some chapters were cut and some parts were summarized to make it fit in two seasons, so this is a rare case where there's a lot more in the manga than the anime!
