I play this game too much.
The amount of wolves shown in the image only scratch the surface of how many I've had to dispatch. :(

I don't think there is, it was an unofficial challenge in the early days.
There is an achievement for spending the entire night outside I believe.

Oh, there are bears in The Long Dark, as well as moose and cougars... and cold, and hunger, and thirst, and long falls... stomach viruses, insomnia, cabin fever, tiredness, and, of course, scurvy.
