A little over a year ago I transitioned Aspen from dragon to drake to fit more in-line with her original design philosophy, however, the second iteration of Aspen v2 had some issues/changes that weren't deal breakers but I wanted to have fixed up.
Patch Notes:
- Aspen's belly has reverted to soft plates.
[Developer note: This was an accidental change in the last patch that clashed with the armadillo plating we originally designed.]
- Aspen's glasses are now properly depicted sitting in the grooves of her face plates.
- Aspen's weight has been shifted to provide a more even distribution without sacrificing thick cheeks.
- Aspen's ears are now depicted as floppy cow ears.
[Developer note: While also incredibly cute, these serve as a soft gender indicator, since the overly-round snout was phased out during Beta.]
- Aspen's hind paws now contain a dewclaw.
[Developer note: When originally designing Aspen, choosing a toe count was incredibly hard. While having four on the front for dexterity and three on the back for aesthetics was a good balance, we felt it was a small inconsistency that should be addressed.]
- Aspen's shoulder and thigh plates now connect seamlessly to her back plates.
There's also a couple fun Easter eggs sprinkled in !

I'm so glad you love it!! It's meant to be the final reference sheet since most of the changes were just things the last reference sheet didn't depict correctly, so gotta make it perfect!
The little Danie bookmark makes me so happy, but nobody seems to notice the Reino coloured book behind it, teehee!
I'm also so happy that you love the patch notes format. 'figured it was a fun way to describe the changes :>

I totally know that feeling. I really need to get around to get one of my own sorted. My last one is a decade old and out of date in so many ways it isn't even funny!
Honestly patch/change notes isn't just funny, it could genuinely be useful to help clear detail changes. I feel like I'd risk mixing up memories of old vs new if it was just going by an image (and have to flip between old and new to see if detail X/Y really did change or not!)
Also, I just noticed thick cheeks... Oh my lord. xD Valid.
