“Wow look at the view. You can see the Eiffel Tower from here.” said Sakura excitedly looking out the window of the hotel room. “Yes, it’s a very nice view. But you should be starting to get ready for bed Sakura. You have a concert in the morning.” replied Pearl. “I know. You’re just saying that because you’re tired from the jet lag.” replied Sakura propping her head on the windowsill and looking out over Paris. This was her first concert overseas, and she couldn’t wait to get started. But as much as that prospect excited her, she really couldn’t wait to see her adoptive brother Sly again. She had been travelling to concerts around the US and hadn’t been able to stop by and see him before she was booked come to Paris. Pearl always travelled with her, so she was never alone, but Sly was different. She’s harbored a crush on him since her family first adopted him. Pearl always made fun of her for it. She was too shy to tell him. She’d invited him to the first concert she was to play and he’d accepted the invite. He should arrive tomorrow morning. She smiled to herself, thinking of all the fun she would have in Paris with her siblings.

A knock on the door alerted the two vixens suddenly as Pearl went to answer it. The busboy at the door handed Pearl an envelope and left with a bow. “A letter? Who knows we’re here?” asked Pearl looking at the envelope. “It’s from Sly.” she said reading the return address. “What does it say?” asked Sakura curiously. “It says 'I’m sorry Sakura, but it appears I will not be able to make it to your first concert. My flight was cancelled, and there won’t be another flight in time. I promise that I will make your second concert. Again I apologize. Remember little sis, I’m always with you. Even if I can’t be there physically.'" read Pearl aloud. Sakura held a sad look on her face as Pearl finished reading. “What's this?” asked Pearl as a small bear-shaped object with a tag fell out of the envelope next. Sakura slowly bent and picked up the figurine and looked at the tag attached to it. "I hope this makes up for it even a little." the message on the tag read. She gasped as the figurine suddenly began to glow in her hands. Both females stared in awe as it began to change before their eyes.

“So the next flight is tomorrow afternoon? Okay we’ll see you when you land here then.” said Pearl pacing in the hotel room on the phone. “Hmm? Oh yeah she loved the present. Mhm…I’m sure she forgives you.” said Pearl stepping into the bedroom and seeing Sakura in her nightgown, curled up asleep with her giant teddy bear. “Okay. I’ll tell her you called and that you said good luck. Bye Sly.” she said before hanging up.
