So if you've been watching my journals you know that I have recently been inspired by the Skiffy town league of heroes and others who do general good for their communities. With that in mind I came up with the idea to go visit children in the Stollery Childrens Hospital here in Alberta (Edmonton to be exact)

I have posted in the Alberta Furs Forums inquiring as to people who may be interested, and though many say it is a great idea, there are some complications with it. We would be going into a hospital after all. I am aware of these issues and am trying to find a way to work with them but I need to know how many people would be interested in going before I can continue to do so. Many things will be determined by how many would like to go.

SO since no one wants to give me an answer as to whether they would go or not I have come up with a secondary option. A fundraiser. It's simple really. the Stollery Childrens Hospital Foundation loves donations and will even advertise any event we want to hold so long as they approve it and all the proceeds go to them, which it would anyways.

So my idea now is since no one will give me a "yes/no I would go to the hospital to visit kids" that I would hold/host an event for all furries to come, gt pictures taken, drawn of, and hang out. This would be an open event to all furries and the public, probably hosted somewhere like the river valley, legislature or Hawr. Park. I would need some volunteers though. Some people to take pictures, be available to take donation comissions or provide a rough 'Dealer Den' area where all profits made would go to the foundation.

I know it's kinda asking a lot, as with the economy it is hard to part with any money what so ever, but it's a thought. Think of it like a mini meet that would be hosted for only a day. I dunno. I'm open to more ideas!

Anyways, just thought I would let you all know that..
