explaination:

this au takes place in PO3, but instead of Squirrelflight's lie making Ashfur stop, Jayfeather actually falling snaps him out of what he was doing. Jayfeather falls into the fire after stepping back and falling down into the camp. this make Ashfur actually realize what he's doing, and the shock gives Lionblaze the opportunity to push him off the log and next to Squirrelflight, out of the fire. Hollyleaf and Lionblaze live but Jayfeather's charred corpse is found when the fire finally settles and everyone comes back to the camp.

after seeing the charred corpse Ashfur can't help but feel... paranoid.

like something is watching him.

and it turns out, something was.
