At Anthrocon I was extremely lucky and found my table right next to mr. beagles. Because I know he doesn't love unicorns (don't believe me? Read the forward to "The Immortal Unicorn") I was too shy to show himthis piece, which is inspired by the scene in the last unicorn where they are leaping out of the ocean.
Irime was awesome, bought my print and went to his table to get it signed. I missed a chunk of he conversation but heard him go "Who did this?!" and I nearly turned purple. i wasn't sure if he liked it or was gonna slap me with a lawsuit (I doubted that, he's a childhood hero, but you know it can be!)
He LOVED it. I had been planning on giving him one but he insisted on buying it. How awesome is that? I got a pic of the two of us to commemorate it (I know it's not the most flattering pic of me but IT'S MR BEAGLE so w/e)

That's fantastic! I only met him once, very briefly, when he came to give a reading at one of the local universities here, but he seemed like a really nice guy. I got his autograph, too, in one of my favorite of his books and I treasure it immensely. But this is just plain awesome!
