This has been in development hell for a while, plus I've been busy with other things like making NPC dragons you can talk to in Skyrim.
The biggest problem was writing the verses, and then recording them. The first attempt was at a high octave and sounded terrible, even with auto-tune to help it out. Recently I re-recorded them one octave down, and it was better, but not great. Since I didn't erase the original version I ended up using both and I think it worked out better that way.
The storyline has been done to death but I guess I just like the idea of robot slaves escaping and doing their own things. I'm not even all that fond of the idea of positronic brains, but there is something grotesquely fascinating about a metal sponge full of antiparticles acting as a functioning mind.
The chorus was done with a VC340 vocoder, but I might redo them later for better intelligibility. As usual, this was sequenced on computer and then tracked on 2" tape. The final mix was done on 1/4".
Synthesizers used include the VC340 (choir), Behringer Solina, DSI OB6, Moog Voyager, Waldorf MicroWave, Waldorf Pulse, Oberheim OB-X8, Roland D550, Roland M-VS1, Alesis DM10 and I got a Behringer RD6 specifically for the crappy 606 hihats.

Lyrics:
Positronic dragons, forged to do our will
Positronic dragons, made to fight and kill
Razor-sharp steel claws, break the first two laws
No
Platinum
Iridium
Platinum-Iridium mind
Positronic dragons, what is to be done?
Positronic dragons, lost and on the run
Went off on their own, destiny unknown
Why
Positronic dragons, slipped free of the lead
Positronic dragons, stealing what they need
Lurking in their holes, freed from our controls
How
