The red pinecone spruce produces the tastiest pine nuts. And if harvested correctly, they make great spell components and are used in hundreds of alchemical and herbalistic potions. And even if you harvest them wrong, damn tasty red pesto is your "punishment".
BUT... the red pinecone tree is the nesting site of the Greater Flitter moth. They're pretty deadly. And very bite-y. No fun.
So if you harvest red pinecones, you carry a golden sickle for correct harvesting and wear Flitter Broodling disguise, like this guy here. And if all goes well, you clean up when the alchemist cleans you out (of your entire harvest).
