I think the idea of including a potty dance immediately makes the build-up to a messing scene a lot more exciting. Especially as flatulence announces Maractus's countdown to a diaper-messing display.

One can add more layers to the Maractus’ potty dance too. Beyond doing a different dance number depending on the number(s) they gotta do, their dance moves can differ depending on how much their bowels are bound to move and, in the case of such cactus kids trying to be potty trained, how badly they have to go as their ability to hold it in struggles to hold up.

This also means aforementioned tropes/ideas like the “saggy diaper dance” can function as a source of optimism and silver lining for the Maractus who can least take joy in the presence of another “dance partner” when they didn’t make it to the potty in time.

Oh, and to add to your idea of flatulence functioning as an announcement, it's also funny to think that other diaper-clad kids would all run their way to Maractus the second said Grass-type's bowels go PFFT!...FRRRRT! as though the kids are coming to watch a concert just so they can enjoy watching an elaborate and silly dance while Maractus is about to poop their pants.

Agreed. The flatulence is the initial symphony for her to dance to and the defecation provides the finishing act as Maractus gets into a squat to finish her set.

We could also tie Meloetta into this, because she's the musical kid and we know that she can provide some music for Maractus to dance to, be it pots and pans or the rude sounds after eating a certain music fruit or just before a filled diaper.

Oh yes, a musically inclined kid like Meloetta would totally join in and do their own dancing/music making during Maractus’ potty dance performance, and if both of those babs had to drop the bass with a bunch of brown notes, thoroughly filled diapers would lead to crowds just as filled with kids delighted by this duo’s doo doo diaper dancing.

So, we have music supplied by Meloetta's pots and pans and the funny sounds her backside makes in the form of flatulence and Maractus's potty dances. I'm sure the whole daycare's in for a whole musical, especially if you want her doing some boisterous ballet.

Yep, and I’m sure even the caretakers would be fine with such messy musicals if it means a few more minutes until they’d have to face the music that is said duo’s super stinky diapers.

And even without messing and stinky diapers, I can see Maractus idly swaying her padded bottom as she plays with her blocks, the crinkling of her diaper being like a maraca.

Indeed. Like Meloetta, Maractus would also be someone who struggles in staying still or quiet when they’re all about being musical.
