Gottlieb asked me an interesting question one day: "Have you ever worn cloth diapers?"

"Cloth diapers? Like the kind you see in old cartoons?" I replied.

He had a few of them on hand and wanted to see if I would enjoy them. I had never worn one before, so I was eager to try them. One diaper change later, I had gone from a plastic-backed disposable diaper to a pin-on cloth diaper, just like the kind I used to see in cartoons. It was an interesting experience, to say the least. That plastic outer layer was now a thick mass of cotton, held in place by a trio of safety pins. It felt unusual at first, but I started to enjoy it. Gottlieb smiled at me. "Do you like them?" he asked.

"They're surprisingly comfortable." I replied.

I still wear plastic-backed disposable diapers as my preferred type, but now I occasionally wear cloth diapers. It's good to mix things up when you feel like it.
