Override part 5 time, and I'm sorry for the lateness! This section ended up being far longer than I intended. The more sinful part though? This section was going to be almost double this length, but I decided to cut the chapter in half for my sanity.
Enjoy!

Story Concept:
For most, being the only intelligent species on your planet also makes you the Apex predator. For the Maren people, this couldn't be further from the truth. They live in tunnels and bunkers, fearing the Fang that prowl above their shelters.
Levi, our protagonist, is a hermit amongst the Maren people, attempting to face the world on his own. However, matters quickly escalate when he finds a massive metal structure when digging for his home.

Very good!
I'm happy to see Levi and Bastian have some time, the relationship with Fritz is secure and he's much less mysterious, leaving room for new mysteries: What the hell are Silas and Caspian going to do? Where's Pax(on)? What happens next?
I should also comment about the mystery of M. Who were these gods? When? I'll bet the smiling one was Bohr.
Don't worry too much about being late. It's well worth it, and I think breaking it here works — this section is the reprieve before the storm. I certainly can't complain about having less disruption to my sleep schedule. These stories of yours always sit on my mind for days and inhibit sleep.
Thanks for continuing this. Please don't make the make the ending too brutal.

This is a really WONDERFUL story series!
I often don't read too much long stories, but I read Override from Chapter 0 to Chapter 5.0. The main characters in it are all very vivid. They all have their own values. Although they are different and often contradictory, they are all practicing their beliefs with their own actions. I think this is really the attraction of this story.
About the plots:
1) I found that in the Chapter Negative One, M's number was the same as that Bohr said when he first met Levi. I guess there are some relationships between these two things.
2) I am happy to see that Fritz is closer to Bastian and Levi.
3) I wonder if the other crews know what happened between Pax, Paxon, Silas and Caspian. I mean the details about their past and background. Bastian and Fritz don't seem to know much about them. From the background, Caspian also has some sympathetic parts, although it may not be many.
4) About the next plots, I know it seems that the tension has eased a little. But I don't think it can be that simple. The core problem is how to solve the situation that Felidaes must eat a lot of prey. Also, what happened to other Felidaes? I read some of your other stories. Some of them had black humors or dark comedy endings. I feel that you will hit me with it somehow. I hope I am wrong.
Thank you for creating this story! You brought me a wonderful experience with this story! I look forward to the following chapter(s). I hope you will have a good time! ^w^

Hoo boy. This chapter was worth the wait.
It’s nice to see Levi and Bastian getting closer despite the dire circumstances. Though, not without their rough patches here and there. Still, nothing that unheard of when it comes to relationships, so I’m at least optimistic for how things play out here. (Please don’t die. Both of you.)
Good to see that Fritz’s support is solidified now…even if it came at the accidental cost of someone’s arm. No biggie, right?
Chapter -1 is pretty intriguing. I’m willing to believe that the “smiling god” is Bohr, considering the test subject here has the same ID number as what Bohr called Levi when they first met. Interesting implications surrounding this potential ancestor of the Maren. I’m wondering what factors played into that conflict at the end. What were these “ raiders’ ” motives? Securing their own food source? Prey liberation? Or perhaps something else? And what motivated Bohr to turn on the “god above all gods”, who I’m assuming is the previous captain? I’m excited to see how this develops.
On a similar subject, Caspian’s backstory with Pax and Paxon was nice to see. It gives she characters involved an additional layer of depth.
Seems like Silas is an unknown variable here. Don’t know how worried I should be about that. What could he be plotting with his candidacy?
Don’t feel bad about taking your time with this. Personally speaking, I like having more time to chew on stuff.
Looking forward to seeing how the election arc develops! Thank you for sharing this story!

Well, I'm not usually the talkative kind, but I promised myself I'd make an effort to engage with people so here goes...
I love the story so far, and I'm curious to see where it goes from here. There seem to be plenty of mysteries left to be solved, like Bohr's actions against his superior in the past, and who originally changed the code to the ship to 1234 when Levi first found it. Though the latter might just be that Caspian is just that unimaginative...or Fritz did it. It makes me wonder how long Fritz has actually been on the Maren's side.
Anyway, looking forward to more.

No need to apologize for the lateness. That was a lot of story there. I know that takes a long time to write. I've also been there, where a chapter went way longer than I thought and having to break things up.
That was a wonderful chapter. I wasn't expecting that with Bohr. Nice insight into both cultures. I liked what you did with Fritz, too.
Looking forward to seeing where the election will go.
