But why is it wrong? The race are clearly subservient, and see service to the Quetz as their true calling. Common problem in sci-fi or fantasy: Assuming all races have human-like morality. The big problem with this scene, is what do they DO with the egg(s) they take? Possibly they are going to just take one, and end up with the first free Ave in a long time, possibly?
The tricky part here isn’t whether Brand in Saida should or shouldn’t take any, it’s how he’s going to convince the aves that he’s a “real” Quetz. After all, these birds are allies of the Quetz, not the dragons.
As such, if Brand doesn’t pull off a convincing enough performance of a quetz, then they’re going to get caught and the quetz who come to pick them up will probably take the “correct” number of eggs.
Even if Brand or Saida do or don’t condone taking eggs, they need to be tactful here, as to not risk getting “arrested” (for lack of a better term) because they suspiciously won’t take any eggs, or too many.

I wonder if the "you" mean the quetz as a whole or Saida in particular.
Afterall we know she had at least once left her castle, so it's not entirely possible she's already been there before.

Also remember that egg in the orb? Saida seems like she's well aware of this but simply chooses to pretend it's not a problem or doesn't exist
