Pretty cool. I think you should've gone a bit easier on the weathering though
When you weather in paint, especially for simulated metal finishes. Do your base in the black first, of course. But the trick to getting a really nice 'aged' finish is to use a makeup brush and a properly thinned 'metal' paint.
Its as simple as just dabbing a very mild amount onto the brush, rubbing it onto a surface (Newspaper works great) to dry out the pigment a bit, then 'dust' over the hard edges of the object.
For guns like 1911, the edges of the front of the slide itself are really prone to weathering due to the amount they are holstered. you can take a very fine brush to detail in some heavy scuffs or scratch damage.
When it comes to 'this' level of weathering, you'll want to incorperate some rust effects (Which can be done using a red 'sand' powder you can find at any hobby store), and watered down PVA glue.
Anyway, keep up the good work, its a cool design :). I'd find a way to conceal that watergun trigger though!

"Dieselpunk" is the logical progression of "Steampunk". Dieselpunk takes place from the end of the first World War, and ends with WW2 and the start of the Atomic Age, whereas Steampunk takes place during the Victorian/Edwardian age. This movement encompasses Art Deco, Film Noir, the "Superhero Golden Age", pulp fiction novels, sci-fi serials, and the aforementioned World Wars.
Examples include classic films like "Metropolis", "The Maltesse Falcon", "King Kong", the "Flash Gordon/Buck Rodgers" movie serials, contemporary films like "9", "Sky Captain", "The Rocketeer", The first 3 Indiana Jones movies, and the new "Captain America" movie.
The best furry example is the cartoon "Talespin."
