-Background-
In her freshman year of high school, Mary was an undersized individual, being some 5'2" and barely 90 pounds. She didn't have much of a social life, as her small stature left her intimidated of the other students. However, around the second semester of that year, a Junior tiger named Nekhu extended an offer of friendship to her, recognizing some potential in her that was unseen by the normal furry's eye. They quickly became close friends (Though didn't quite enter a relationship), and this lasted throughout her sophomore year. Towards the end of that summer vacation, Nekhu introduced Mary to a very odd thing: Dahrendahlese Magic. He revealed a hidden lab in the town devoted to the study and research of this alien magic, suggesting that she try her hand at learning a branch of it. After recovering from the shock of realizing that magic was a real thing, she quickly reviewed the six branches of magic and chose to specialize in water magic. Her nickname, Ice, came from the other occupants of the lab due to her apparent obsession with ice-related spells.

By the time she graduated from high school, she was insisting that people call her Ice rather than Mary. Litteraly wincing whenever someone called her by her real name. Shortly after graduation, she and her brothers, Markis and Jeff (Jalik), had a huge fight with their parents. Their parents had specific futures in mind for their children, strongly suggesting that the boys be doctors and engineers, while the girl, Ice, marry a doctor or engineer. None of the three siblings much fancied this idea, and after all three of them were out of school, they were litteraly beginning to force their plans for their futures on them, threatening to kick them out of the households if they didn't follow these plans. It quickly erupted into screaming at eachother, and as soon as her father told her that she was a girl and she should stay in the kitchen, Ice lost it. A small boulder of ice shot from her palm and hit her father square in the forehead, knocking him out cold (pun intended). After everyone had realized what happened, their mother told them they had 10 minutes to pack their stuff and get out, else they face being removed forcefully by the police.

The three siblings showed how resourceful they can be and all found jobs and an comfortable-sized apartment. The three always got along especially well with eachother, so they didn't much mind living in somewhat cramped space.

A year later, a fellow mage from the lab, Randall Thomas (Rath) opened a gym. This gym was to have equipment enchanted with special life magic that would induce much faster muscle growth, incredible strength, and the ability to achieve sizes beyond what was deemed "possible". The leader of the lab, Alex Onyxwing, knew that if word of Rath's gym got out, many non-mages would end up with impossible strength. To prevent this from happening, he ordered an illusion mage to go and secretly cast an enchantment on his gym, making it so anyone with neutrally attuned mana (non-mages) would see the gym as a small office building with a "Keep Out" sign on the door. Rath, with life-attuned mana, never noticed. However, Ice realized that if she were to work out at this secret gym and become larger, she wouldn't be so intimidated by strangers anymore.

So she went regularly. But when she reached what one would call a normal-size (perhaps a bit more muscular than normal-size, but neh), she didn't stop going. She wanted more. She wanted to be bigger. Six months later, she stood at 8'3" and weighed in at nearly half a ton of pure muscle. Now, most people are intimidated of ~her~. She rather likes that change.
