Aha! Joy! Success! I have found what... Must be an Istetli village! Finally! I have been searching through this jungle, Toochanli, for days. I knew I was being watched by the jungle's people, I could feel their eyes on me and hear their whispers, but they had all left me alone. I don't know why, really. I was told that they take very poorly to strangers, even more so humanoids. I am currently sat in the bushes on the edge of the village, just watching the people... Do villager things. It's incredible. They have these huts that hang from resilient branches above them, and the undersides look to be a loose weave, likely for heat dispersion, holes on the tops probably to let out hot air. Natural heat regulation... Weaved! By savages, none the less! They have a little firepit too, I imagine they tell stories and all sorts about... Their gods? God? I heard the word 'Montezuma' over and over again, is that their lord? To the back of the village is a stone with Istetli carvings on it, occasionally the bird people leave little flowers and chunks of obsidian, I can only imagine this is an altar of sorts... Amazing! I can't tarry here though, I'm sure there's so much more to discover, I must go deeper into Toochanli, the promises of glittering cities and roaming dragons is simply too much for me to pass up on!
