This is a rare case for me, doing a female percussionist, but that's what we have here. This is Emily McMantis, known to the G-52s as Tempo Tigress. She was appointed as head of the Drumbumettes (female Drumbums) by Snare Soldier. Here is her bio:
Tempo Tigress (Bio)
Name: Tempo Tigress
Gender: Female
Species: Tigress (female tiger; formerly human; more on that below)
Nationality: American
Alternate Name: Emily McMantis
Occupation: Percussionist on the musical payroll system, and appointed by Snare Soldier as head of the entire group of Drumbumettes (female Drumbums), on top of being the chief majorette in charge of her unit.
Appearance: Slim but athletically built tiger with yellow eyes; she usually pads (goes barefoot) unless it's too dangerous to do so. She has two different versions of a purple drum major uniform she wears (more on that below); both employ purple as the base color. One is the traditional circus style with golden highlights, including epaulettes, stripes across the chest and down the pant legs, etc. The other, which is evidence of how CNG tried to get her and her fellow tigresses in trouble with the law (more on that below), employs a similar jacket with stripes across the chest, but there are no sleeves at all, short or long, and the area under the belt almost resembles a skirt of sorts. (Her unit doesn't use this second uniform often.)
Both uniforms have a shako with no plume; the logo on the shako is a golden paw print.
Age Immortalized due to CNG: 28
Hometown: Katy, Texas, USA
Current Residence: Houston, Texas, USA
Battle Uniform: Her first purple uniform is her battle uniform.
Superpowers: Because all G-52s and allies that sing or play a musical instrument have the same superpowers, Emily has the following four:
1. Being able to summon any instrument and play it at the Forsythian level, which was said to be "beyond professional."
2. Being able to magically change clothes on the fly by waving one’s hands in front of themselves (usually their face).
3. Being able to manipulate sounds with one’s hands and feet, although almost nobody ever uses this power on purpose.
4. Being able to summon portals to help them get to a place faster in case of emergency.
Emily also has super strength and super hearing. When she plays her battery snare drum, she receives unquestioning obedience from the unsuspecting public and/or forces of evil (although the other Drumbumettes, Drumbums, G-52s, allies, and the C.I.D.F. are immune to this). She has yet to try this on the forces of evil (such as the F5 Terror Force), because they haven't been executing any major plots as of late; instead, the public that she is sworn to protect as a G-52 have become their own worst enemy (as well as hers).
Her drum major's whistle that she blows also has the power to silence an entire city full of people (although she has never had a reason to use it in this manner).
Bio: Emily is proof that the one and only lesson CNG had learned was that females can be percussionists as well, not just males. (In CNG's perfect world, only the men played the drums.) She and her friends were just starting college when CNG got to them; the smugglers were using pink and purple CNG in order to promote women's rights for the wrong reasons, making it sound as if men deserved to be replaced. (CNG killed the smugglers instead.) All four in the group were undecided on what they wanted to major in, but after some examinations by the C.I.D.F. (and by the real-life counterparts to the mascots, Shasta and Sasha the Cougars), the four agreed to major in music (as well as minor in a different field).
Since Emily and her three best friends were planning to play in the Spirit of Houston (the university's marching band), CNG chose to acknowledge this by instantly putting the four girls in band uniforms. However, they were purple, and they didn't cover the whole body; most of the legs and feet were still exposed. It caused a stir, but the public didn't complain to the police about it because 1) the police were already there arresting the smugglers, and 2) the CNG aftereffects were brainwashing everybody into believing that if they did not behave themselves, "Callahan Cody" Belachman and his posse, the Fab 5, would suddenly charge in and start shooting at everybody. (CNG was cross with Cody for not doing this.)
An elderly woman started yelling at the police to arrest the foursome for the criminal act of indecent exposure, but the police did not charge them with anything. Instead, they helped the girls to safety (as well as to calm down over the freakout), and called the C.I.D.F. in for help. The quartet then found how they could magically change clothes on the fly, and used that power for the first time to bring them back to their regular clothes. However, they were still padding, seeing as that they had grown several inches.
Emily had concerns about how her parents would react, but to her surprise, they weren't panicking or angry, although they wept about the matter all night long. The more she got used to being a tigress with magical powers, however, the more confidence she gained in performing in concerts and on the football field. She began playing snare drum in the drumline, but also learned all the percussion instruments that she could just in case (including timpani). She was eventually promoted to the drum major position her senior year.
Upon graduating, she and her friends mingled with other tigresses that used to be human beings until CNG got to them, and soon saw that they were as talented as the Drumbums they had watched and listened to many times. One thing led to another, and after a scene where a group rehearsal "just for fun" ended up foiling a bank robbery (because the tigresses didn't understand that their instruments had powers, and CNG would dictate these powers to cause chaos), the tigresses decided that they should consider being the first ever female Drumbums, or Drumbumettes, after seeing how every Drumbum prior to that was a male animal. They then voted Emily to be the tigress in charge. She said yes, and contacted the Snare Soldier via the G-52 app. Almost immediately, he said yes.
Altogether, there are nine full units of Drumbumettes, three of which have tigresses, three of which have lionesses, and three of which have female unicorns, wearing either purple, pink, or turquoise. Emily's unit is named Tigress Unit 1, since they were the first ones to be inducted as Drumbums. (All units wearing purple are Unit 1 as a result; the pink uniformed animals are Unit 2, and the turquoise uniformed animals are Unit 3.) Emily supervised the voting and selection of the other eight units before all nine units marched in a big parade. The units subsequently found male Drumbums to act as counterparts to (except for the unicorns, because there were no male unicorns on the planet thanks to CNG unfairly stereotyping; as a result, the male counterparts to the unicorns are all anthro Clydesdale horses).
After the big parade, Emily, a lioness named Amanda Morrison (wearing pink), and a unicorn whose name has been kept secret (due to safety precautions; she was wearing turquoise) were announced as finalists for the appointed supreme head of the Drumbumettes, similar to how Snare Soldier is head of the whole organization as well as the head of all Drumbum Rats. All the Drumbumettes voted, and Emily won the vote. She is now in charge of the females, although due to seniority as outlined in the Drumbum Code of Honor, she does not outrank Timpani Tiger (or Snare Soldier).
Emily can only speak English. Though she plays many percussion instruments, she is usually seen with a battery snare drum, and she trained herself to play the drum with four sticks as well as two (although this is rare).
Emily's three best friends, also serving as Drumbumettes in the same unit, are Darci Lynette (playing tenor drums), Julie Robertson (also playing a snare drum), and Jessica Peterman (playing the flute).
Quotes: "Thank you; it's a great honor to perform. It wasn't the life I was planning, but that's CNG for you when it was alive. It decided what you did for a living." (when meeting the G-52s and allies at an NFL football game, in which she and her unit performed the national anthem)
"I do admit to being one of many that watched 'The Adventures of Drummer Dog' in my younger days, which has to be why CNG made me a half-naked tigress. Almost immediately, an old lady yelled at the police to have me arrested. Why is it always the elderly? I thought we were supposed to respect them!"
"I promise not to let being the top-ranking Drumbumette go to my head. I just wish the supernatural wasn't trying to use me and the others as pawns to get what it wants. Our music we play as a marching band and as a drum and bugle corps is supposed to boost the morale of the American people. Instead, the supernatural is making them regret everything they ever did. Why?"
"Being the leader of the Drumbumettes as a whole can give me a headache sometimes, but it is nothing I can't handle. The ones not behaving themselves are the humans."
"Until Dallas, Kansas City, and Philadelphia get their act together, we're never performing for their NFL teams again! MLB? Yes. Don't know about the other sports. You can't fit all of us onto a basketball court. Ice hockey; well, let's just forget about trying that."

Pardon me for saying this Leo but I have to tell you that this character looks great as a barefoot cartoon animal. Besides that, her bare feet is asking to breathe without shoes mind you. I am also eager to hear her music in those marching bands later on. Tell Blue to keep making those images also.
