"Yoink!"
"Huh!?" The hare flicked his ears, looking around for the sudden voice. There was nothing but a flutter of leaves and newspaper clippings. Someone or something was tryign to hide from him. He couldn't help but smirk.
His long, lapine ears perked up high. With a few taps on the ground, he could easily visualize the resonance coming back to him, giving him an unobscured 360-degree map of everything around him.
There was a Pokemon hiding in the bushes. Now that he focused in, Sirocco could even hear the little rascal giggling to himself. "Alright, I know you're there. Come on out, lil' guy."
"Nick?!"
It perked back, seemingly startled it had been located so easily. A small, red fox with a dark black tail groused from the bushes. His head was lowered with a sense of shame. "Impressive! I am surprised you could find me so easily"
"Wait, you can TALK?!" It was getting more common these days to find Pokemon that could speak. Or devices that translated Poke-speak into anthro. Sirocco tilted his head, now deeply interested in the little critter.
"I can! And maybe you should sit down and listen."
Sirocco nodded and lowered himself into a cross-legged sit. "Good! Now listen close, two-legger! My name is Nickel, and I'm gonna be the world's GREATEST thief! Everyone will know my name! Why, it should be an honor to have something stolen by a dashing gentlemon like me! In fact... you should thank me for stealing from you!"
Sirocco quirked an eyebrow. He could still feel his wallet, keys, and phone in his pocket. "Er... thanks for stealing from me, I guess? What did you take, anyways?"
Nickel chittered and covered his muzzle with a dainty paw. "Ohh, you flatter me! Still haven't even noticed, hrm? Come closer and I'll tell you."
Sirocco had to really lean in. Nickits were pretty small creatures, and he found himself down on all fours as the fox guided his muzzle in close. His large ears lifted as the fox's snout crept closer. "Now, don't be surprised, my dear, but I have stolen your free will."
Sirocco rolled his eyes. He wasn't surprised at all. More skeptical than anything, and Nickel seemed to catch on to that. "Oh, you don't believe me, hmm? But you've been oh-so-compliant, all this time. Keep your eyes on me, and pay no attention to my cohort as he creeps up your legs.
The hare perked his ears. He only now realized something warm and gooey was curling around his lower body, but try as he might, he couldn't look away from Nickel's enchanting gaze.
"Wh-what's happening?!"
"Oh, that's just my friend, Mimicka. No way I would get away with half my crimes without a good backup, and who better than a Ditto? Teehehehe! Now, just relax, big guy. Relaaaaaax and let him overtake ya!"
Sirocco let out a long, smooth breath, like he were settling in on the couch. Weird. He had no idea it would be so... comfortable... to have a Ditto creeping up on you. His lower body felt kind of numb. Kind of soft and squeaky. "Now, just one more thing and we can let ya get back to... whatever pool toys do!"
"Pooltoys?!"
"That's right!" Nickel's tail thwapped atop Siroccos head. The flanges of fur flexed and gripped him tight. He could feel a... pulling... sensation, almost as if something being almost vacuumed out of him!
The fox's strangely dextrous tail tugged and tugged, finally popping free of the hare's skull with a strange, glowing green gemstone firmly set in the palm of it's fluff. Nickel chirred and examined his treasure before it was swallowed up into his tail.
"N-niiii? Kiit nick-iiiit?"
Sirocco seemed mildly amused by the words coming out of his muzzle. His long, squeaky tail thrashed behind him. Try as he might, he just couldn't be upset by any of it!
Nickit cupped his mark's face and guided the hare's wandering gaze back into his eyes. "Ohhh, that's two in one night! Bad luck on your part, but hey! Without free will, it's not like you needed any of that 'language' or 'intelligence' thing you two-leggers are always on about! No... you just need to grin brightly and be a good, happy float toy!"
"Nick itt?!?!"
Sirocco's expression brightened up considerably as the last of the goo curled around his head, forming into a shiny and cartoonish fox shape. He rocked about in his new body for a few seconds, getting used to his puffy and useless new mitts before settling in and laying comfortably on the cement.
"Great job, Mimicka! Think you can do this rube?"
"Dittooo!!"
Something like a humanoid shape began to emerge from the pooltoy's back. Laying forward at first, mirroring its host's pose, it gradually sat upright like a rider atop a horse. Its featureless mass sprouted overly long, satellite dish ears and a modest tuft above a toned rump. The rusty red color soon blanched into a sandy, mocha hue as its head mass warbled and warped, eventually resembling that of a rabbit with two tiny, beady eyes and a flat expression.
"Diii!"
"Eh, good enough. Really gotta work on your faces, though." Nickel coughed up a pair of shades from the inventory of his tail, which the naked 'hare' nodded and thanked him for. Mimicka stood up from the newly transformed Nickit pooltoy, confident the form would hold and followed his boss off to their next misadventure.
Thievul and Nickit are surprisingly well-designed Pokemon, honestly! I've seen some really cool TFs of them, too, and figured I would get in on that! Those huge, fluffy tails kind of resemble hands, and I like to think it's how they swipe things. The most skilled of these vulpine thieves eventually get bored stealing simple, mundane things like cars and bank accounts, and start yearning for a challenge! These Nickit learn to steal concepts and attributes - things like size, skill, and even identities!
And remember - no Psychic type can ever see them coming! >:3
