Originally I wanted their story to be set in their universe's version of the Song dynasty during Song Huizong's reign, but then I was like: "nonono, that is too close to my other OCs timeline, move further back" to the Renzong reign of the Northern Song dynasty.
the story, under the imperial edict of Emperor Song Renzong, Ouyang Zheng, a 3rd rank official, is sent to Hexiang village in the north of the Song empire to serve as a Magistrate for the safety of the people, his daughter Ouyang Xiang who was pampered, spoiled and well-cared for is extremely defiant on the thought of them moving up north, especially to a village, having grown up in Bianliang, the prosperous heart of the Northern Song, Xiang'er is unwilling to leave the luxuries behind, but begging her father this time is useless, as it was an order from the emperor, the father and daughter moved up north with their carriages along with some belongings, and several staff from their former estate, at least for Xiang'er, she gets to live in a clean and grander estate newly built in Hexiang village, but the cow dungs and muddy paths, lacking of any prosperity in the village is what made her even more frustrated, it was also there that she met a semi-nomad mountain-dwelling Yinya chief's son, Tuli, who became her rival after what he said to her:
"Excuse me but you look like you're wearing a dead fish's head, no offense" who was less thrilled over the whole "taking the responsibilities to be the new chief" thing, the young and dark wolf was just strolling around the village waiting outside of the Ouyangs' Estate since his father, the current chief was having a meeting with the village's new Magistrate, when he unexpectedly bumped into the well-dressed but stubborn 'spoilt brat' offending her upon his snapping at her inconsideration, as a result of this mutually bad first impression made, the two do not get along and will do anything to make each other seem superior than the other.
the direction I'm going with them is an enemies to lovers because I love historical Cdramas and romcom combined
