Last summer the dogs cornered a feral "farm" cat in the back yard. She was injured from an attack from the next door neighbour's dogs and could hardly move. It was 45 degrees and she was having trouble moving. Kawolt (My husband) caught her and handed her to me to look after, and I nursed her back to health over the next few weeks. She would only hiss and scratch, so we named her Miss Hiss.

She has been with me now for 7 months and is like a completely different cat. She has brain damage, so wobbles when she moves, but is otherwise healthy and happy. She lives with me in the office and hangs out in the fenced off garden, so that the dogs can't bother her.

She is now a very affectionate cat and is obsessed with food. We think that she was abandoned by the former owner of the farm, and was living on mice and the odd unlucky chick. She now eats everything that she can get her face into if I am not fast enough: Noodles, chips, my dinner. But normally has a healthy cat friendly diet of expensive cat food and tuna. She has bitten everyone in the house that is not me, so no one else really bothers her. I love her heaps.
