Its been awhile but sometimes the best changes are the simple ones. Vale sports a whole backstory set in a fantasy setting of mine. Think D&D but with a little more monster hunter and transformation themed.

A smuggler who found herself removed by the locals she terrorized, her crew half dead scattered, only to stumble on a mage who she tries to force into healing her. He didn't like her threats all too much and cursed her with a feral body trapped in a small lake. Years later, she is found by a familiar druid with ebony skin and is restored after a lot of painful treatments and sometimes even more painful therapy. Now she runs an inn on the roadside, finding purpose in helping people find temporary shelter from the storms in their lives as she so desperately wanted after her experiences.

Shes not the nicest woman in the world. Full of sharp edges and witty retorts, she prides herself on her sharp tongue; and if you dare violate the safety of her home, be prepared to face a sword curved and barbed like a fishhook for catching an ocean monster.



As a small detail to explain things. Her left eye is scarred from the encounter with the mage who cursed her, but subdued her with a fireball first. Her hair is also affected by Aldara's treatment, causing a buildup of entropic magic in herbl body to express itself as hair with the color and consistency of ink. She can also manipulate her hair to grow and shorten on demand with some limited movment. It mostly goes wild when she loses control in a fight. Though some have said its relaxing to brush~

I hope fans of Vale enjoy these ideas and I'm eager to explore her more as I go more into detail about the setting I'm creating.
