'Nother sketch. I really REALLY liked this sketching technique. For some reason it makes me feel more confident than just scribbling a billion lines does. It also cuts my time down considerably, and even lets me add details and shading without having to ink, saving even more time. Don't know why the fuck I didn't try this out sooner.

What I do is use a big, chunky brush, and get a rough silhouette going, then cut away at it with an eraser. Both tools are set to around 50% opacity to allow for variance in color/shade/whatever. I start of with big brushes and go down in size for details.
The way I usually go about things is to make a big mess, see what I want within that mess, and pull it out. This way has worked better and faster than scribbling lines because a single stroke of the brush could do the work of 10 or 20 strokes with the pencil tool. It's also much less distracting, visually, to have large splotches of color than to have a lot of squiggles.

I'll make sure to post a link here when I do my next one (most likely 2 weeks from now, not doing one next week). Or if you have a DA, I post announcements there, too. http://plasma-snake.deviantart.com/
As a heads up, I should be streaming August 2nd, if this move goes according to plan. Also, dunno if you know or not, but you have a thread for your art over on FiMchan http://fim.413chan.net/art/res/21660.html
