It is a rather fun trend, particularly with seeing different artist's takes on Mr. Wolf's paws. As always you've done some particularly fine work with the texture of the fur and the paw pads and I would say yours has been my favourite thus far.
With Mr. Wolf's expression here, my take would be that he's just realised his socks have been stolen by a mischievous coyote, whose wiggling fingers with their sharp claws are now approaching his soles with intent to tickle.
