Hey, real quick; don't turians have funky spines going upwards on their lower legs? or is that just something in the armor; I swear I've seen it on Turians wearing street clothes too.

Well yeah but they are malleable and bend. If you notice turian faces, the eyebrows/browplates move up and down easily enough, so it's easy enough to assume mine would just bend up and be held within the pantleg.
